Black and white self portrait standing on a large canopy bed.

Medium format film photography, both in color and black and white, serves as a mediator between me and my subjects. Each image is an intention I set that disappears for days or weeks until it is rediscovered in the darkroom. I re-find my forgotten intent in the intimacy of the darkness, both of us becoming fully realized as art-maker and art-object together.
My images are both portals and objects. My subjects are full casts and one man shows. As the  photographer, I am both the director and the witness. I tow the line between fantasy and reality, nature and construction, vulnerability and heroism. My photographs are not transactions, they are proof of a relationship and proof of life.
